Update To Expungement Law

Missouri law recently changed to make expungement of criminal records much easier. As of 2018, you need only wait three years after a misdemeanor conviction and seven years after a felony conviction to apply to get your record sealed. A total of 1,900 offenses can be expunged. There is also a special process for expunging a conviction for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
